1:1 sessions in Studio equipment available at Coneyhill Studio in January 2012. Pilates Studio Equipment is designed to enhance the benefits that you can attain through merely performing the Pilates exercises on your own on a mat. Joseph Pilates himself designed or inspired these highly sophisticated pieces of kit. This equipment utilises pulleys and resistance from the participants own body weight on the machine with graduated levels of springs. Through variable resistances the machines help build strength and increase flexibility. The Reformer (pictured left) is probably the most complex and versatile piece of equipment. You can easily perform over one hundred exercises on it. The Pilates Cadillac (pictured right) was designed by Pilates to help bedridden patients regain their strength, giving very effective results. The combination equipment (pictured top) shows the Cadillac is the frame part and the Reformer is embedded in the centre with the option of covering up the mobile parts to use purely as a Cadillac. ![]() The Pilates Arc (pictured left) is another helpful prop for assisting many movements. Whether you are already experienced at Pilates mat work, or a complete beginner, our new equipment will benefit you. It will assist you with movement and improve your mobility and flexibility. During your 1:1 session, we may combine the use of the three different pieces of equipment to create a specialist workout for your body. Strengthening, aligning and releasing where you need it the most. It is best to try a course of sessions, to allow your body to adapt to change, and correct bad postural habits. If you practise mat work, the equipment will largely improve your ability on the mat. SPECIAL OFFER FOR EQUIPMENT: BUY 3 X 1Hr classes for £75 (normal price of 1:1 will be £40ph). As Gill is still a student teacher this offer will stand until the exams are complete. Subject to availability - Book soon appointments limited!! Images borrowed from Balanced Body www.pilates.com. All equipment at Coneyhill Studio is Balanced Body equipment. |
