MindBody Yoga Get in touch with your body and mind! This class is a blend of Tracy's Chakra and Hatha Yoga training and will be drawing on principals and practises from a myriad of yoga traditions, such as: Exercises, Breathing, Mantra, Meditation, Mindfulness, Visualisation, and Yogic Philosophy Students can play and discover different options for day to day living. If you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions, you may find a healthier way of living. Don't be discouraged to give yoga a try, even if you've never done it before, or aren't very flexible, as there are options for all levels of practise.
Calm your mind; find peace, strength, happiness, flexibility, confidence, security and LOVE! Pregnancy Yoga Yoga postures, pranayama (breathing exercises), and visualizations will be taught to help you through pregnancy with minimal discomfort, as well as prepare both physically and mentally for the demands of labour. Classes are designed to ensure that you stretch the muscles required for an easier delivery and will help you maintain your strength for the big day! You will learn about positions and movements that will guide baby into the ideal position for birth, which will assist with the process of labour. Women will be encouraged to get in touch with their natural birthing instinct.
Note for Pregnancy Yoga: Women in full time employment are entitled to paid time off work to attend yoga classes, on the recommendation of their midwife. PostNatal Yoga is now a 2-hour Saturday workshop rather than a weekly class, running one Saturday every three months - click here for more info
About Tracy Tracy Macfarlane (ChakraYTT2003)(ChilloutYTT2009) www.mindbodyyoga.co.uk  Tracy first began to practise yoga whilst travelling 10 years ago, as it helped her remain grounded during this time. She completed her first teacher training at the Chakra Yoga Center in Koh Phangan, Thailand, in 2003, and learned about the manipulation of chakra energies through asana, pranayama, chanting, visualization, mantra, and meditation. Tracy continued to develop her own practise, as yoga is a very individual experience that needs to be observed from within. She went on to complete an additional course with Chill-Out Yoga in Aberfoyle, Scotland, in 2008/2009, and found that it was a nice balance to her previous training. She became pregnant during this time, so she began to focus her studies on how yogic principals would help with a more comfortable pregnancy and labour. She has since been teaching Pregnancy Yoga classes, and has also taught a workshop about how to teach yoga to pregnant woman. Tracy teaches different styles of yoga and, in the coming year, will also be taking workshops covering various yogic topics such as sun salutations, yogic breathing, chanting, and chakra balancing.
Private Lessons with Tracy Tracy specialises in Yoga for Body and Mind, and yoga for the Pregnancy and Post-Natal period.
Tracy's sessions are creative and individual. An initial phone consultation will highlight the student's needs and preferences. A personal plan will then be created, with a copy given to take home for personal practise. This may be refined after the first lesson, once Tracy has had a chance to evaluate the person for any negative holding patterns or dysfunctional breathing. For this reason, more than one session is recommended, but not mandatory. Depending on where the student's interest lies, Tracy offers a wide variety of techniques, including yoga exercises, breathing exercises, visualizations, meditation, mantra, and positive affirmations, as tools to aid in the healing process. Yoga can help improve the quality of your life!
